Dr. Thea S. Dosanjh and Dr. Teri L. Kim are board certified specialists in the field of pediatric dentistry. Both Doctors completed an additional two year training program after completing their dental degrees, which makes them uniquely qualified to meet the dental needs of children through all stages of development.

Dr. Teri Kim


Dr. Teri Kim is a board certified pediatric dentist that focuses on providing pediatric dental care in a gentle, supportive manner. She strives to make every child she treats feel happy and relaxed at their appointments.

Dr. Kim is originally from Sacramento, California and attended college at the University of California, Davis. She received her dental degree from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in New York City. After dental school, she completed a two year hospital program and received her pediatric specialty training at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Although she loves New York, California is where her heart belongs. She returned to California and joined La Clinica De La Raza, a non-profit organization located in the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland as a full time faculty. During her time there, she served as an associate clinical professor for the Department of Orofacial Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco where she was training pediatric dental residents. She has received multiple grants and recognitions from both the National Health Service Corps and the California Dental Association for her dedication and active role in providing pediatric dental care to the underserved children.

Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Contra Costa Dental Society. She is on staff and has privileges to treat patients at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland and Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Oakland.

In her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with friends and family.


Dr. Thea Dosanjh


Dr. Thea Dosanjh, or “Dr. Thea,” as her patients know her, knows how important is for children to feel comfortable going to the dentist. Dr. Thea’s goal is for her patients to have a great experience at the dentist and leave the office smiling.

Dr. Thea grew up in Fairfield, CA, and completed her undergraduate studies from California State University at Sacramento, where she graduated summa cum laude. She received her dental degree from University of California at San Francisco, where she was honored with a Regent’s scholarship. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Thea attended a two year pediatric dental specialty program at Eastman Dental in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Thea is committed to serving the East Bay community, and was thrilled that her first place of employment as a pediatric dentist was with La Clinica de la Raza, a non-profit organization, located in the Oakland Children’s Hospital. At Children’s Hospital, Dr. Thea further honed her skills of treating children with special behavioral and medical needs.

Dr. Thea is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Dental Association, and the Contra Costa Dental Society. She holds a certificate in oral conscious sedation, and has hospital privileges at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, and Kaiser Oakland.

Dr. Thea spends her spare time with her husband, Raminder, her son Ronan, her daughter Sylvie, and her lab Frodo. You are likely to find them outdoors; hiking, camping, and exploring the Bay Area. She and her family love to travel, but she is just as happy to be at home in the East Bay, or to be at work with her amazing patients!
